Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Chattahoochee ValleyBig Brothers Big Sisters is a free one-to-one mentoring service for children from primarily single family homes. A Big Brother or Big Sister is an adult volunteer (18 years or older) who share activities with a child (Little) ages 6-14 at least 8 hours out the month so that the child can have a role model, a special friend and someone to explore the community with. Girls Inc of Columbus & Phenix-RussellServing over 1,500 girls from the Columbus area, Girls Inc. is dedicated to educating and empowering girls throughout the country. We instill each girl with the confidence and strength to believe in herself and achieve a lifetime of great success. Membership ages range from six to eighteen. The annual membership fee at all centers is $10 per girl, with an additional fee for the summer program. All Girls Incorporated centers are open five days a week year round. |

Champions for ChildrenThe Champions for Children program provides financial assistance and support services for medically fragile and special needs children living in Georgia. Through the Champions for Children program, families are able to work with a coordinator who determines eligibility, helps to identify service needs, and connects them with local resources and services. |

The Literacy AllianceThe Literacy Alliance unites providers and learners in the Chattahoochee Valley to increase literacy levels of all ages. We work closely with the Muscogee County School District to facilitate “Kindergarten Readiness” and “The Dictionary Project.” We also combine efforts with agencies which provide literacy services and bring to the awareness of others the negative impact low literacy levels have on our community. |

Valley Interfaith Promise (VIP)Valley Interfaith Promise (VIP) is a shelter program for homeless families with children. VIP provides shelter, meals and comprehensive support services. VIP began serving families in the Chattahoochee Valley in October 2006. VIP serves up to three families, consisting of up to 14 persons at a time. The families use VIP’s services during the day and stay at a host congregation’s facility overnight. |
