Winter Break Camp 2015 – Making Memory Boxes

January 2, 2015 | 9am – 4pm | Ages 8-10

$25 Members; $35 Non-members

Instructor: Courtney Ryan

Memory is know as the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information. It’s the ability to recall something from the past and bring it back to the present.

We will be creating one of a kind memory boxes for each child to store all of the small things they hold dear. Each student will be directed through the process of preplanning, crucial design elements, and expressive execution for their memory box dreams. These boxes will be the perfect thing to house small knickknacks, photos, and unique findings. No two boxes will be the same.

Keep your child on the path to progress with our off-season, strength and conditioning program. If your child’s sports program does not have a strength and conditioning component, they are only getting half of the results they could be.

Our strength and conditioning coaches have two primary goals:

  1. Improve athletic performance
  2. Improving athletes’ speed, strength, and power

Our program emphasizes:

  • Proper warm up * Flexibility
  • Agility  * Strength
  • Balance * Proper mindset
  • Proper cool down * Conditioning (cardiovascular) specific to your sport

Campers will learn to execute a variety of performance-based strength training exercises with proper technique. In addition to acquiring these advanced movement skills, campers will also learn the scientific basis for performance-based training.

Featuring original music by 8-time Oscar® winner ALAN MENKEN (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors), SISTER ACT tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look—a convent! Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.
