La Leche League’s Breastfeeding Cafe
In addition to our regular meetings, we also meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month for a Breastfeeding Cafe. We gather informally for mother to mother support. There are also accredited La Leche League Leaders present to answer questions and offer you support and assistance.
We welcome all mothers! If you are pregnant, this is a great way to meet moms and get information!

Breastfeeding is the natural way to feed your baby, but knowing how to do it properly doesn’t always come naturally. Learn basic information about the womanly art and science of breastfeeding at this class.
The advantages to mother and baby and the realities of breastfeeding are discussed, as well as techniques to get off to the best start, combining breastfeeding and a busy lifestyle and handling common concerns.
This class is taught by a certified lactation consultant, lactation counselor or childbirth educator and is held in our new Columbus Regional Lactation Center.

La Leche League Meeting
All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are invited to come to the La Leche League monthly support meetings. As always, babies and children are welcome at the meetings.
Regular Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of every month @ 10 a.m.

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. New Moms Nursing Support Group

The first weeks and months of motherhood are full of questions and concerns, especially if you are breastfeeding.
The New Moms Nursing Support Group is here to help. Sponsored by Doctors Hospital, this informal group of mothers and babies is designed to provide information and support to breastfeeding moms. Professional lactation consultants (IBCLC or CLC) are on hand to answer questions so you can continue to provide nature’s best nutrition to your infant!
If you need a more complete breastfeeding assessment, a appointment with one of the IBCLCs is suggested. Call 706-321-3765 for more information.
