Tryouts for the Columbus Lions Junior Lions Dance Team

Calling all girls, ages 8-13 years… Do you want to perform and love to dance then? Don’t Miss “THE JUNIOR LION’S DANCE TEAM” Dance Camp & Tryouts!
When: Saturday, January 7
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Cost: $40.00
The Lady Lions Dance Team and Coaches will conduct a dance camp followed by Junior Lions dance team tryout.
The camp is for everyone and tryouts are optional.
Parents can register their daughters on January 7, 2012 at the Civic Center at 9:30 a.m. for $40 to include: one dance routine, t-shirt, lunch, the tryouts and experience.
Parents will not be allowed in room for the teaching or tryouts.
Full schedule:
9:30 – 10 a.m.-Registration
10 – 11:30 a.m.- Routine Taught
11:30 – 12 p.m.- Break – Lunch Served
12:15 – 12:30 p.m.-Review
12:30 – 1 p.m.- Break into groups
1 – 3 p.m.- Tryouts for the Junior Dance Team
The Junior Columbus Lions Dance Team will perform during halftime of all seven home games for indoor football games at the Columbus Civic Center. The Lions’ season begins March 3 (preseason game) and runs through June. Those who make the Junior Lions Dance Team are required to pay a $400 fee which includes:
- Professional instruction from the Lady Lions Dance Coaches & Dance Team, held on Friday after school
- Dance with Professional Lady Lions Dance Team
- Performance Uniform
- Camouflage Tee-Shirt (for Military Appreciation Night)
- Ticket for each Junior Lions Dance Team to every game
- Dinner and Drink at each game (to be served in assigned area at each game)

The Academy of Fine Arts at the Patty Taylor Dance Center is holding a Fall Open House. Come and take a tour of the studio, talk to teachers, and register for classes such as ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, hip hop, adult and Mini-Motions Creative Movement.

Get ready to boogy with instructor Melissa Williams at dance classes offered by The Dancy Academy this summer. Sessions will cover jazz, tap and ballet.

Wednesdays, July 13, 20 & 27 @ 4:30 – 5:30 pm – Ages PreK, 4 & 5 years
Thursday July 14, 21 & 28 @ 4:00- 6:00 pm – New students ages 6 years and up*

Cost
$30 for one session / $50 for both sessions
*Sessions for new students ages 6 and up are $65 for one session or $120 for both sessions.
