Here’s a fun way to get your children outdoors… Help them work toward earning a Junior Ranger badge!
The Junior Ranger Program is sponsored by Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites to help children ages 6-12 experience nature first-hand, explore Georgia’s fascinating history and enjoy outdoor recreational activities.
When: Monday, Jul 12, 2010 until Thursday, Jul 15, 2010
Time: 10 AM to 3 PM
Who: Children ages 6 to 12 will experience nature first-hand with live animal programs, nature hikes, and nature oriented arts and crafts. Come become a Junior Ranger!

Book: Free Junior Ranger Activity Books are available at all 63 of Georgia’s State Parks & Historic Sites. You can also download the book online in pdf format (2.9 MB).
Badges: By following the guidelines in the Junior Ranger Activity Book, your kids can work their way through three badge levels. Choose from a list of 16 different badge requirements that will get you outdoors and help you learn about nature. Kids age 7 – 10 must complete 5 activities and those aged 11 – 14 must complete 8 activities.

June 7-10 (ages 5-6)
June 14-17 (ages 7-9)

9 a.m. – Noon
Children will learn about grocery shopping, kitchen basics adn safety and kid-friendly foods from around the world. Lunch will be served daily. Parent can choose a day to have lunch with their children during the camp.
