Have any actors and actresses in your household? The Family Theatre is holding auditions for their June musical, The Happy Prince.
Saturday, April 30
11:00 am OR 1:00 pm
(Actors can choose either time.)
The Family Theatre, 2100 Hamilton Road, Columbus
Ages: 5 – 60+
Actors are asked to come prepared with a song of approximately 1 minute.
Performance dates will be June 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25 at 7:30 pm.

Auditions for “Pink and Say”

Calling all actors and actresses! The Family Theatre at Rose Hill Baptist Church will be holding auditions for their next production, Pink and Say.
Pink and Say is a stage play, based on a true story, which presents us with two men from the Union army who meet after a battle of the Civil War. Say, a young white man, has been wounded. Pink, a black man, carries him home where his mother is surviving in the ruins of a deserted plantation. Both men try to return to the front lines but are captured by Confederate soldiers and taken to Andersonville prison. Come view their struggles and find out who made it out alive to tell his story.

Pink – 18 – 21 years old, African American Union soldier
Moe Moe Bay – 40′s, African American, mother of Pink
Mama – 40′s, Say’s mother
Papa – 40′s, Say’s father (also doubles as a marauder)
Maurauders – 20′s – 40′s, Caucasian Confederate soldiers
Confederate guards – guards at Andersonville Prison
3 singers- Teen’s – 30′s, representative of both sides who sing songs of the time
William – 40′s, Caucasian, a descedent of Say
Patricia – William’s daughter
Youth Performance Class

Get your little actors and actresses over to the Family Theatre at Rose Hill Baptist Church for their Youth Performance Class.
This class will include instruction in acting skills, stage direction and character development. Older students will be involved in assisting with props and building the set. Stage performances for this class will be on May 6th and 7th.
Thursdays at 4:00 pm starting February 3rd until the performance
