Weekly classes begin January 28 @ 2:00 p.m.
Performance dates:
Friday, May 14 at 7:30 PM
Saturday, May 15 at 2:30 PM
The instructor is Barbara Dansby, a certified elementary school teacher who resigned her teaching position to homeschool her daughter. This will be her fourth semester teaching Readers Theater. She designed and made the costumes and sets for these classes. Barbara has also helped make costumes and sets for several Family Theatre and Expressions Arts productions. She also directed Where The Heart Is, an American Girls play at Family Theatre.
Cost $40 per month.

Upcoming Classes at FT School for Performing Arts
Winter Classes will begin soon at Family Theatre’s School for Performing Arts. All classes are held at Rose Hill Baptist Church – 2100 Hamilton Rd.
Classes taught by Julie Massey:
- Sewing for beginners and the inexperienced ~ Monday 3:00 pm. Beginning January 11, 2010. $40/month.
- Art for Young People (ages 9-18) ~ Monday 4:00 pm. Beginning January 11, 2010. $40/month.
- Arts and Crafts for children (ages 5-8) ~ Thursday 4:00 pm. Beginning January 14, 2010. $40/month.
- One Stroke Painting Club (must have taken One Stroke Basic course or be an experienced One Stroke painter) ~ Thursday 5:00 pm. Beginning January 15, 2010. $40/month.
- One Stroke Basic Course ~ Monday 6:00 pm. Beginning January 25, 2010. This is a six week course. $60.
Class taught by Jason Cardwell:
- Beginning Magic ~ Tuesday 5:00 p.m. Beginning January 12, 2010. $40/month. There will be a $35 supply fee for this class.

- Intermediate/Advanced/Performing Group ~ Tuesday 6:15-8:00 pm.

Family Theatre to hold auditions for two productions
Family Theatre is holding auditions for the following two productions.
Children’s Letters to God – A Musical
Sept. 28-29, 2009 at 7 PM.
Come prepared to sing. Bring sheet music or background tape.
Location: In the theatre – 2100 Hamilton Rd.
Ages 12 and up
Papa’s Angels
Oct 6, 2009 at 7 PM.
We will have cold readings from the script and I will ask those auditioning for Momma or Papa to sing. The song can be a hymn or some type of folk song.
