CSU Wind Ensemble Free Concert
CSU Wind Ensemble Concert
The Wind Ensemble gives a preview of the concert they will perform for the Georgia Music Educators Association State Conference. With sweeping energy and beauty, Juilliard composer Robert Beaser’s raucous Manhattan Roll is followed by J.S. Bach’s impressive Fantasia in G. Faculty Artists Lisa Oberlander, Yien Wang, and Paul Vaillancourt perform Bernstein’s jazzy Prelude, Fugue, and Riffs. A lush, reflective work by Ticheli, a fun Irish reel by Grainger, and a set of dances featuring Cajun, Creole, and Dixieland-style jazz bring the concert to an entertaining close.
