Tools 101

March 30, 2010 @ 6-8 p.m.
April 17, 2010 @ 10 a.m. – Noon

Learn the many types and purposes of hand tools, and how to use them safely. Bring your own tool box or use ours.

Basic Electricity

March 6, 2010 @ 10 a.m.
May 11, 2010 @ 6 p.m.
May 27, 2010 @ 10 a.m.

You are in for the “shock” of your life when you realize how simple many basic electrical projects can be. Learn what you can do yourself, and what should be left for a licensed electrician. Pre-requisite: Everyday Handywoman: Tools 101.

Basic Plumbing

March 13, 2010 @ 10 a.m.
April 20, 2010 @ 6 p.m.
May 1, 2010 @ 10 a.m.

Running toilet? Leaky faucet? Don’t call the plumber–fix it yourself! We’ll discuss the many plumbing jobs that you can handle yourself, as well as when to call in the professionals. Pre-requisite: Everyday Handywoman: Tools 101.

This class with savvy saver Brandi Dailey will teach you all that you need to know to find coupons, keep them organized, and stay up-to-date on when and where the sales are. Expect to spend approximately $10 for your own coupon book materials after class starts.

Young Pilots (Ages 8-14)

iStock_000006112954XSmallHave you ever considered becoming a pilot? This class is the perfect opportunity for kids (ages 8-14) to learn about what it takes to fly a plane and the steps necessary to becoming a pilot or air traffic controller.

Join instructor Todd Shellnut as he teaches you about pilot life from the ground to the sky. Attend Ground School on Saturday and study planes in the classroom. On Sunday, show up for Flight School at Skyline Columbus and learn about planes from the sky.
