The Old Russell County Courthouse Labor Day Fair is an annual event that was established in 1975. Come enjoy arts, crafts, food, amusements, and live entertainment.
Formerly the Russell Co. Courthouse when Seale was county seat (1866–1943). Built in 1868, is one of oldest in state. Features Indian artifacts and paleontology display.

Spend Labor Day weekend watching the sky fill with color at Callaway Garden’s 12th Annual Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival.
September 3-5, 2010
This festive, old-fashioned weekend is highlighted by the extraordinary vision of a balloon glow on Friday evening, and morning and evening flights on Saturday and Sunday. Between balloon launches, the days are filled with entertainment, family activities, exhibits, demonstrations, music and more.

June 26 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

At the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.
Special seminar hosted by Mark Ballard on June 26 from noon – 1:30 p.m. Workshops. Free activities for kids. Free gift bag to the first 500 people to attend.
