RiverBlast! Port Columbus’ Largest Living History Event
April 14 & 15, 2012

Each spring, sailors and marines both Union and Confederate gather at Port Columbus for RiverBlast! This living history weekend is Port Columbus’ largest living history event, and draws reenactors from around the country.
Featuring weapons demonstrations, cannon firings, skirmishes, event reenactments and scenes from a sailor’s daily life, this event has something for everyone.

Celebrate the sweet strawberry at the Georgia Strawberry Festival in Reynolds, Georgia!
The fun begins Friday evening with a BBQ pork dinner, hot dogs, hamburgers and what Strawberry Festival wouldn’t be complete without strawberry shortcake! Kids will love the children’s activities and adults will enjoy performances by Southern Vision of Valley, Alabama and Denny Grimes of Phenix City, Alabama.
Saturday’s events include a 5K run, Home Run Derby, a Children’s Parade as well as a Grand Parade with antique and classic cars, trucks, bands, and more. Browse the wares from over 100 artists and craftsmen from around the South East and visit the farmers’ market, food vendors, the Georgia Strawberry Cook-Off and so much more!
