Once again, Callaway Gardens®’ Robin Lake Beach will become an outdoor cinema with a Movie on the Beach!

Robin Lake’s sandy beach will be the seating and the stars the backdrop for evening’s viewing of the award-winning movie Blind Side. Projected onto an inflatable, 35-foot wide screen, the movie will be shown with a digital projection system with surround sound.

Prior to show time, guests can enjoy the 8 p.m. FSU Flying High Circus’s Friday night special show Spectacular. Guests may want to bring a blanket or lawn chair. The Beach Pavilion will be open for snacks and beverages prior to the movie.

Cost: Guests visiting the Gardens during the day will be admitted to the movie at no additional cost. Day admission is $18/adult; $9/child (ages six to 12); children five and younger are admitted for free.

Beginning at 6 p.m. admission is $9/adult; $4.50/child (ages six to 12); children five and younger are admitted for free. Admission will be complimentary for annual pass holders and military (active and retired with ID) and up to five guests in the same vehicle.

Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all he’s done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.

July Kidtoons Movie

Summer is here in full swing and Kidtoons is celebrating with a visit from our friends at Sesame Place. While we’re there, we’ll also find a few of your favorites dropping by to say hello. Our Sesame friends will welcome everyone’s pal Strawberry Shortcake. Then we’ll share some songs with Steve and learn a bit from our friend Word Girl. Elmo and Abby will teach us all a lesson about friendship and then the Dragons have some tales to tell. So, pull up a beach chair and enjoy some summer fun from Kidtoons.

Recommended for ages 3-6.

At Carmike Hollywood Connection

These movies are geared towards families with children on the Autism Spectrum (and others with sensory issues). The monthly screenings will be on Saturday mornings and feature new releases whenever possible. No previews will be shown

Some special features will include turning on the lights about halfway, turning down the sound, and throwing out the “no noise” restriction. Families may choose to bring in their own special dietary food or purchase from the concession stand.
