Unfortunately for Horton, this gives him nothing but torment from his neighbors. They refuse to believe that anything could survive on the speck. Still, Horton stands by the motto that, “After all, a person is a person, no matter how small.” 86 minutes. MPAA Rating G.

Reel to Reel Film Series: Rejoice & Shout

Taking film viewing to another level, The Columbus Museum is offering the Reel to Reel film series.
During these fun-filled evenings, you can participate in costume contests, film discussions and more. Each month a new film will be discovered in new ways. Discussions or other related activities on the films start at 6 p.m., with the films starting at 6:30 p.m. This program is FREE and no registration is required!
Rejoice and Shout (Rated PG)
This film traces the evolution of gospel through its many musical styles – spirituals and early hymns, four-part harmony-based quartets, bules and swing, soul, rap, and hip-hop elements. Rejoice and Shout connects the history of African-American culture with gospel as it first impacted popular culture at large. Before the film, the influence of gospel music on other musical arts will be discussed.
