All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to the La Leche League of Columbus meetings or to call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information.
2nd Tuesday of the month, 10:00 AM

Babies and children are always welcome at the meetings.
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own
babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League
International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding.
They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or
concerns.

ADD/ADHD Support Group

If you think your child has ADHD or if your child has been diagnosed, contact LEAN.
LEAN (Listen, Educate and Nurture) is Columbus’ local support group for parents, educators and other concerned adults who interact with children affected by attention deficit hyperactivity and impulsivity.
The group was started by two friends, who found strength in leaning on each other. This group offers empathy, encouragement and information for other faced with the mental, physical and emotional challenges of raising children affected with these symptoms.

Facts About ADHD:
- No one knows what causes ADHD
- ADHD is not due to poor parenting or lack of discipline
- 3-10 percent of children have ADHD
- Only 3 million children are diagnosed
- Americans spend 1 billion dollars a year on ADHD medications

Chattahoochee Valley Down Syndrome Support Group

If there is a child with Down Syndrome in your life or you are expecting one, come the Chattahoochee Valley Down Syndrome Support Group.
The group holds quarterly support group meetings and monthly mom’s lunches. Location is subject to change, so be sure to call before going.

Currently, 90 percent of expecting parents that find out their unborn child has Down Syndrome choose to terminate the pregnancy. But having a child with cognitive challenges isn’t the end of the world. People with Downs Syndrome are capable of so much and lead full, happy and quality lives.
