Albany Museum of Art Presents: Scirocco Wind Quartet (Albany, GA)
The Scirocco Quartet was formed in 2010 by flutist Elizabeth Goode, oboist Susan Brashier, clarinetist Peter Geldrich, and bassoonist Shannon Lowe. Named “Scirocco,” which is a warm tropical wind, appropriately for a woodwind group based in southern Georgia. They enjoy an active schedule of regional and national performances, most recently at the National Flute Association Convention in Las Vegas, the Florida Flute Association Convention in Orlando, and numerous university concert series throughout the southeast. Their repertoire is a mixture of original works for woodwind quartet and lively arrangements of other famous pieces.
