CANCELED – Kids Camp & Summer Fun Fair 2020
March 15, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
The March 15th Kids Camp Fair has been CANCELED in response to COVID-19 as per CDC recommendations for large events.
The Kids Camp & Summer Fun Fair will celebrate its momentous tenth year when it returns to the National Infantry Museum on March 15 from noon to 4pm. Admission to this expo is free.
Over 50 camp directors and business owners from across the Chattahoochee Valley will be on-site to provide information and answer questions in person about their kid-friendly programs. Parents are invited to come SHOP for options to keep their children enriched and entertained during this summer and into fall. Vendors will be representing a mix of day camps, overnight camps, activity camps such as sports, dance, music, art camps, drama, swim and outdoor, plus clubs, attractions, cultural activities and more. The target ages for the programs range from toddler to high school-aged kids. Most of the vendors will be providing free activities, games, crafts, giveaways or special guests at their booths.
For the first time, this year’s event will feature on-stage, LIVE ENTERTAINMENT in the Infantry Museum’s theater. The line-up will primarily focus on local acts who will also be exhibiting at the event, in addition to two professional variety performers.
- 12:45pm – Musicals by Family Theatre
- 1:15pm – Performance Dance Centre
- 1:45pm – Comedic Magic by Doodle
- 2:30pm – United Cheerleading
- 3:00pm – Academy Dance Centre
- 3:30pm – Comedic Juggling by Ron Anglin
SPECIAL GUESTS will be there to greet event attendees, such as book superstar “Skippy Jon Jones,” PBS Star “Princess Presto” and even “Spiderverse Spiderman.”
A FREE KIDS CRAFT will be provided by the local non-profit, SparkArt, whose mission is to spread kindness through art in the Chattahoochee Valley. They will help kids make a firework craft in honor of the show’s 10th Anniversary. Many of the vendors will have their own crafts and games at their booth too.
Event-goers can play “Passport to Summer Fun,” where they can compete to win several GRAND PRIZES such as attraction passes and event tickets.
The National Infantry Museum opens at 11am, so expo guests can begin to explore the museum and its attractions before the fair begins at noon. The MUSEUM’S GALLERIES AND BATTLE SIMULATOR will be open, and concessions will be available for purchase in the lobby.
NOTE: Bags or parcels larger than 11” x 15” x 6” will not be allowed on the museum campus. Clear gallon-sized resealable bags and lockers will be available at no charge. For more information about the Museum’s bag policy, call their security office at 706-658-5817.
