All decorations must be made by the participants themselves (may have adult guidance). All motorized vehicles, animals, and commercial advertising are prohibited. No adults will be permitted in the parade except those designated by the committee or accompanying young children (i.e. parent or group leader). No pets allowed. Helmets must be worn by children riding bicycles.
The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Participants will assemble in front of Sweetland Amphitheatre beginning at 9:00 am. Judging will begin at 9:30 am. Young people should be dropped off with their entry at the starting location. The only adults allowed in the parade line-up are registered parents or group leaders and designated parade marshals. This is for the safety of the participants.
From Sweetland Amphitheatre the parade will proceed down Church Street, turn left onto Vernon Road, left on Main Street/Ridley Avenue and then return back to Sweetland Amphitheatre. No young people may be removed from the parade while it is in progress. Parents should promptly pick up their children at the conclusion of the parade.
Led by grand marshals Speer and Debbie Burdette! Speer is the recently retired president of the Callaway Foundations and Debbie is a longtime literacy advocate and former school board member.
