Baskets of strawberries are displayed at the Georgia Strawberry Festival, hosted each year by the Georgia Strawberry Growers Association in Reynolds.
Don’t miss the following two highlights of the festival:
- The Georgia State Strawberry Cook-off — Judging is open to the public. For $1.00, you can grab a fork and taste all the goodies. YUM!
- The famous Georgia Strawberry Festival Lawnmower Races — as thrilling and exciting as any NASCAR race. The various ways people can modify a lawn mower becomes more amazing each year!
Other events include a 5K run, arts and crafts displays, a huge variety of food booths, a farmers’ market, an old book sale, a local artist display, a photography contest, carnival rides, and an extensive antique car show.
