The Warm Springs Regional Fisheries Center will host the annual Kids Fish for Fun Day at the Aquarium in Warm Springs.
Saturday, June 2, 2012.
All children ages 3 to 12 years are eligible to participate in the event.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service along with Friends of Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery join forces to show residents why more and more families are participating in fishing.
This popular event provides a chance for children to experience the natural world of the hatchery and the thrill of fishing. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who agrees to teach the child how to fish and not actively fish. All children must be registered to participate in fishing. Each child should bring their own pole, stringer, and bait (for catfish). For the event, each child will be allowed to keep five fish on their one stringer. A time limit will be enforced for each group fishing.
An application must be filled out for each child attending. You need Adobe Reader to download an application.
Please make adequate preparations so your kid(s) will have fun! Bring all the necessary equipment as well as hats, sunscreen, and a bucket for your catch. Lunch will be provided to registered participants by Wendy’s, and the Ft. Benning Bass Club will be on hand to teach casting. Youth groups and scout groups are welcome!
