A scholar and gardener, Hatch dedicated his life’s work to restoring Jefferson’s revolutionary garden to its 1812 appearance. The author of many books, his latest is A Rich Spot of Earth, a beautifully illustrated homage that establishes Thomas Jefferson as the clear forefather of organic and sustainable garden movements.
